With 30 years of experience in funeral services, Susan LeClair has a passion to help bereaved families, even years after their loss. Her knowledge and familiarity with monuments has led to the creation of "Monument Manager," established in 2022.
Through the use of a biodegradable solution, we are able to safely remove mold, mildew, algae, lichens, and air pollutants. This solution does not contain bleach, salts, or acids; and is safe for plants and wildlife. We have chosen to abstain from the use of power washers due to the potential of causing damage to some monuments. Through experience and further research, we have determined that tender loving care and purposeful elbow grease typically provides the best and safest results.
Monument Manager provides seasonal services from May 1st to October 31st annually. Given the frigid temperatures from the late fall to early spring in Simcoe County, we must limit our services to these months to prevent harm to monuments through our use of water-based cleaning solutions.
Older monuments will be safe in our care as we understand their importance, loving sentiment, and delicacy. Though more than one treatment may be required to meet our restoration preference (included in the initial purchase if local), the solution we use continues to rejuvinate the monument for days and weeks after cleaning.
Over time, monuments can settle unevenly due to the natural shifting of soil beneath the ground. Though we do not level markers, we can offer a referral to a monument supplier who provides this service if local. Similarly, Monument Manager cleans and restores headstones, but does not participate in the sale or distribution of headstones. Finally, it must be noted that Monument Manager's services can only be purchased by family members of the deceased.
